RESTORING THE COMPONENTS

Power-Washing the Engine
Del Carpenter power-cleans the 302 6-cylinder engines that powers the Futurliner.

Electrical Motor
Jerry Sigler has just removed the right gear motor for restoration.

Engine and Transmission(s)
In this picture is the engine and transmission(s). Through the two windows at the top of the picture is the engine. Connected to the engine is a dual range Hydramatic transmission. Bolted to the back of that (lower part of the picture) is a two speed gearbox. This combination provides eight forward speeds.

Transmission
Don Mayton poses with the Hydramatic transmission.

2-Speed Transmission
This is the 3 speed/PTO transmission that is at the rear of the Futurliner.
