A racing vehicle it's not but the Futurliner did take a turn around the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Piloted by Al Scholten she provided a little apprehension on the steep sloped turns.

With an escort vehicle out front at all times the Futurliner makes its way around the Charlotte Motor Speedway track. This view is not unlike one from a large airliner coming in for a landing.

The Futurliner makes its way through a tunnel as it traverses around the Speedway grounds. For the driver and passengers, approaching tunnels and bridges are a little unnerving. Mere inches of clearance separate the driver's head from the overhead obstacles and approaching them at a fast clip leaves a perception that you're not going to make it.

Al Scholten (right), receives an AACA award at the Charlotte, NC AACA South Eastern Spring Meet which was held in conjunction with the Lowes Motor Speedway show.

Sometimes the sun shines and sometimes is doesn't -- at this show it didn't.

One thing about old-car-folks, a little wet weather doesn't seem to stop them from making the rounds. The Futurliner is open for display and the folks just keep on coming.

The sales tent is open for business but there is more interest with the Futurliner display.

Even though weather conditions aren't always the best at show-time, the Futurliner volunteers are always willing to show off the vehicle even though there will be a lot of clean up afterwards.
