The Futurliner was displayed at the 28th Street Metro Cruise in
Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Metro Cruise attracts thousands of cars
for a two-day show (estimated at around 15,000).
It was a chilly and overcast day but throngs of people gathered to
look over classics, antiques, street rods, etc. (estimated at around
300,000).
The Futurliner was set up at a prominent location along the 15 mile
cruise corridor.
Lacking a body, this owner took some creative liberties by creating
a framework from rebar/rerod.
Dr. John Wissink wowed the crowd with this 1923 one-horse Buick. He
actually drives the Buick from atop the horse.
The volunteers were on hand to answer questions regarding the
origin, use and restoration of the Futurliner.
