Trim is being positioned while another volunteer sweeps up the floor.

A battery is placed in the battery box in anticipation of cranking over the engine sometime in the near future.

Ed DeVries does a little filing on a trim piece.

This hub cap had looked like it was driven over by a truck but one of the volunteers straightened it up so that it looks presentable.

This is one of the more remarkable features of the Futurliner -- dual front wheels. We ran across an article in Wheels of Time Jan.-Feb 1988 that mentions an all-wheel drive Ford equipped with dual front wheels by Differential Wheel Corp. It was marketed to greatly increase tire life and gas mileage.

The drop-down step is completed for ease of entry into the driver's compartment.

Our electrician makes adjustments.

Del Carpenter works on setting up the engine. He still has to hook up the radiator hoses but he says he is getting close to seeing it run and move under its own power.
